This paper presents a high gain stator flux observer based on ESO for PMSM sensorless drives. Fast convergence of the stator flux can be achieved and external perturbations in the flux integration process can be accurately tracked. It demonstrates through simulation that the proposed method can achieve good control performance in the full speed range.
